Off-Campus Projects

In 2008, the University undertook and completed projects off campus and in Asia:

Chicago Booth Facility in Singapore

Chicago Booth announced plans for a larger campus in Singapore, to be completed in summer 2009. The facility—which will more than double the size of the existing campus—will allow Chicago Booth to offer additional business programs and services, including non-degree executive education and programs of the Polsky Center for Entrepreneurship, and provide space for other University units to offer programs in Singapore.

Howard T. Ricketts Regional Biocontainment Laboratory

The Ricketts Regional Biocontainment Laboratory, at Argonne National Laboratory, was completed in April 2008. The lab supports research conducted by the Great Lakes Regional Center of Excellence for Biodefense and Emerging Infectious Diseases Research, of which the University is the lead institution. The safe, central, state-of-the-art facility was designed to produce drugs, vaccines, and diagnostic devices to counter bioterrorism and emerging infectious diseases.
